Count and Non-Count nouns

  1. Have students write a recipe. Collect all recipes to make a recipe book.
    • Example:  Students would need words and phrases such as “a cup of rice,” “a tablespoon of sugar,” and/or “three tomatoes” in order to practice using count and non-count nouns in their recipes.
  2. Have students make a list of questions to ask students using “how much” and “how many.”
    • Examples:  How many pets do you have? How much homework do you usually have each night?
